Thanks to the generous support of the Raymond John Wean Foundation and the leadership of the Youngstown Business Incubator, we are able to begin building a diaspora community for Greater Youngstown. We define Greater Youngstown as a 5 county interstate region: Columbiana (OH), Mahoning (OH), Trumbull(OH), Lawrence (PA), and Mercer (PA). Our mission is to tap the experience and expertise of this region's diaspora (people who live elsewhere but still call the Steel Valley home) for purposes of economic redevelopment in one of America's great urban frontiers. This blog will serve as a knowledge archive for the Greater Youngstown Diaspora Network.
